    Performance & Benefits

    Stabilises Problem Surfaces
Zinsser Peel Stop bonds tightly to flaky, chalky or peeling paint, helping to lock down loose fragments and create a stable substrate for repainting.

    Flexible & Breathable Film
The clear acrylic film remains flexible and lets moisture escape, reducing the risk of future peeling on both interior and exterior surfaces.

    Prepares for Topcoats
Peel Stop is designed to be overcoated with quality primers or topcoats once dry, aiding adhesion and improving the longevity of decorative systems.

    Versatile Use
Suitable for use on wood, masonry, plaster, concrete, cement, stucco, siding, trim and previously painted surfaces that exhibit surface deterioration.

    Recommended Applications

    Ideal for:

    • Walls and ceilings with peeling or flaking paint

    • Chalky or powdering surfaces

    • Cracked or crazed coatings

    • Old painted timber trim, siding and fascia

    • Masonry and brick substrates before repainting

    • Surfaces needing binding and stabilisation before priming/topcoating

    Surface Preparation & Application

    1. Prepare Surface: Remove all loose or flaking paint and debris; ensure substrate is clean and dry.

    2. Apply Peel Stop: Use brush, roller or spray to thoroughly coat the affected area.

    3. Drying: Allow approximately 1 hour to touch dry, then ~2 hours before applying primer or topcoat.

    4. Topcoat: Once dry, overcoat with a suitable primer and paint for best finish.

    5. Clean Tools: Clean application tools with warm soapy water.

Why Choose Zinsser Peel Stop 1 Litre?

Zinsser Peel Stop 1 Litre is ideal when you’re dealing with problem paint surfaces that traditional primers won’t adhere to. Its clear, flexible binding formula stabilises and binds loose material, creating a breathable foundation for paint systems and helping extend the life and appearance of decorative finishes — both indoors and out.
